Monterey Bay Officers’ Spouses Club (MBOSC) now accepting scholarship applications
Monterey, CA-March 14, 2013- Monterey Bay Officers’ Spouses Club (MBOSC) is now accepting applications for 2013. These merit-based scholarships are available to military dependents including spouses of active duty, retired, or deceased military members living in Monterey County area or military dependents including spouses of Naval Postgraduate School alumni living anywhere.
The MBOSC scholarships vary in amounts and selection is based on academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and an essay. A new scholarship is available in 2013 to a military dependent seeking a degree in one of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.
“MBOSC is proud to award nearly $10,000 in scholarships to deserving military family members in the Monterey area and the NPS community. Our scholarships have a direct impact on the educational goals of our recipients and we are excited to award our scholarships this year.” said Molly Evans, MBOSC president.

About Monterey Bay Officers’ Spouses Club
The Monterey Officers’ Spouses Club is 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to raising money for the community. The MBOSC sponsors social events for military families, as well as fundraising events. Officer spouses from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Defense Language Institute and ALL Officer Spouses in the Monterey County area are welcomed members.
